Coal-tree

The Coal-tree is standing on a hill in Cwmgiedd, a village close to Ystradgynlais and is the central piece of work from Sarah's artist residency at The Josef Herman FoundationIt is an ancient oak birthing coal.On Saturday May 16th there was a gathering of people who came to the Coal -tree  to hear poetry in both Welsh and English,  violin folk music and to enjoy tea and cake around the tree.
