Educator
Sarah is a qualified teacher (BA QTS Design Technology) as well as a practicing artist and has been involved with education since 1994 both in France and Britain as a teacher/lecturer. She has also run freelance workshops in galleries such as Arnolfini Bristol, in museums as well as in schools/colleges.
Sarah worked for 2 years at The Meriton (PRU), in Bristol which provided education and support for teenage mothers .
She was invited to run workshops for Arts Alive Wales (now PEAK) 2014-15 which is based in Crickhowell, Powys, including a series of workshops for the project ‘Aerial’ in partnership with Mind Torfaen and Criw Celf for 11-14 year olds.
During autumn/winter 2015 Sarah delivered Caban Celf workshops to teenagers as well as receiving Caban training sessions. Alongside this she completed the BAAT Art Therapy Foundation Course at South Wales University, Newport.

About Sarah
Sarah Rhys is an interdisciplinary artist and educator living and working between west Wales and Bristol.
Sarah is interested in reinterpretation of landscape, ecologies and folklore with a recent focus on the coracle- a small welsh river vessel.
She curates Oriel Archipelago a sometimes gallery in Llansteffan, West Wales.

Sarah contributed to ‘HON’ a bilingual publication on Women Artists in Wales, edited by Christine Kinsey and published by The H’mm Foundation.
